Yes, Raman signals can be weak, and fluorescence from the sample may interfere with the measurement. Additionally, highly absorbing or dark materials may produce heat during laser exposure. In extreme cases, it cannot be excluded that the tested sample may catch fire or explode. Safety guidelines must be strictly respected during the measurement.
