We develop and manufacture systems for National and Homeland Security that support rapid screening and reliable identification of hazardous materials. Our solutions are built for operational environments where speed, accuracy, and trace-level sensitivity are required. The portfolio covers three main technical areas: explosive trace detection, Raman spectroscopy, and scintillation spectroscopy for radiological detection.
Our explosive trace detection systems, called the miniEXPLONIX and the EXPLONIX, are designed to find extremely small residues of explosives on surfaces, objects, luggage, cargo, and hands. The workflow typically includes controlled sampling (for example with swabs or wipes), followed by a managed release of collected compounds using a thermal process and stable transfer conditions to the measurement stage. The system is designed for consistent repeatability, low false-alarm operation, and continuous use in checkpoint through self-tests, diagnostic monitoring, and structured calibration and maintenance routines.
Our Raman spectroscopy platform, called the microRAMAN, enable non-destructive identification of unknown substances in solid or liquid form. The instruments acquire a characteristic Raman spectrum and compare it against reference libraries using automated spectral processing and matching algorithms. The design emphasizes stable excitation, efficient optical collection, suppression of background signals, and software quality checks that validate spectrum usability. The result is fast chemical identification with traceable outputs suitable for field screening and decision support.
For radiological threat detection, we develop scintillation spectroscopy system, built- in the EXPLONIX, that detect ionizing radiation and provide spectral information to support classification and identification. The platform uses scintillator-based sensors with calibrated energy response, continuous background adaptation, and real-time processing for rate alarms and spectral analysis. The goal is to reduce nuisance alarms while maintaining sensitivity, and to provide event logging and operational reporting for security workflows.
These technologies are engineered into rugged, field-ready devices for defense, ports and border control, customs, governmental agencies, and urban security applications. Our systems are designed for high-duty operation, serviceable maintenance, and integration into checkpoint or networked environments through configurable interfaces, secure data handling, and structured event reporting.
